B1 General / Profession
Together with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Federal Employment Agency and the Job Centres, we are offering the professional language course B1 General / Profession.
Participants in the B1 module are people who have German as their second language at a working age and who
- have knowledge of German at language level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- need language level B1 for professional recognition or access to the profession
- are in apprenticeship or looking for an apprenticeship training position
- are registered as jobseekers and / or receive unemployment benefit.
The language course lasts 400 hours (300 hours of German lessons and 100 hours of exam preparation).
The course deals with important topics from the world of work: Communication and learning at work, job search, education and further training, legal matters and dealing with the media.
The basic module B1 ends with a final exam telc Deutsch B1 Beruf or telc Deutsch B1.
! Important !:
You don’t earn more than20.000€ per year? Then as a course participant you do not have to pay the course fee!
We test your knowledge of German. We pay attention to language certificates (not older than 6 months) and attendance certificates for special professional language courses (not older than 6 months).
You do not attend the course regularly. Then we have to report this to the BAMF because you may not pass the exam.
Do you receive money according to the Child and Youth Welfare Act (Sozialgesetzbuch/SGB 8)? Or do you receive money under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act (AsylbLG)? Then you as a participant can also get money for your trip to us.
