German C1 for Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists

With our German courses of the special module for academic health professions you can prepare professionally and effectively for the professional language examination (Fachsprachenprüfung – FSP). If you are a doctor, dentist or pharmacist, are in the process of having your foreign professional qualification recognized and intend to take an examination to prove your professional language skills, then this language course is just the right thing for you!

You are an immigrant with first languages other than German and

- have a degree in human medicine, dentistry or pharmacy from your home country,

- have a certificate of general or subject-specific German language skills at language level B2 (a certificate of attendance is not sufficient),

- aspire to work as a doctor, dentist or pharmacist in Germany,

- intend to submit an application to the respective state authorities to obtain your license (Approbation) as part of the recognition of your profession in Germany.

In the special module "Academic Health Professions", general and specialist language skills in the medical, dental or pharmaceutical context are taught, i.e. on the basis of topics that are particularly relevant to the areas of expert/expert-patient/patient-communication, communication in the team and documentation. Specific course contents are for example: Admitting patients (taking anamnesis), presenting patients

and their medical history both in writing and orally, taking into account the medical terminology (written and oral communication with colleagues), making diagnoses (physical examination, laboratory tests, instrumental examinations) and informing patients about them, recommending and justifying therapies and using German terms and medical terminology appropriate to the situation.

The special module concludes with the specialist language examination (Fachsprachenprüfung – FSP) required to obtain your license in Germany. In this language course, you will be intensively prepared for this examination.

- Duration: 600 lessons (approx. 6 months)

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 to 5 lessons daily (morning, afternoon or evening)

German C1 University

You want to study at a college or university in Germany? Then you can either take an intensive course to acquire university-related German language skills at level C1 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or prepare for the telc exam Deutsch C1 Hochschule in an exam preparationcourse!

In the intensive course you have the opportunity to work specifically on acquiring exam-relevant vocabulary and important grammar structures. Improving your language skills is just as important to us as developing the necessary working techniques for successfully passing the telc exam Deutsch C1 Hochschule.

The exam preparation course is a targeted exam training course in which you will learn various solution strategies. You will practice writing extensive and demanding texts in authentic examination situations and will be coached individually by our qualified German teachers.

Course Characteristics (Intensive Course):

- Duration: 160 lessons (approx. 6.5 weeks)

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 lessons daily (in the afternoon)

- Style: On-site training or online language course (video conference)

All German universities have recognized the certificate telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule since 2016. As a certified telc Centre of Excellence University, we offer the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule examination regularly.

German C1 for Professional Purposes

Are you looking for a job that requires general and specialist language skills at C1 level? You would like to improve your German language skills in order to gain a better foothold in professional life? Then register for our basic module C1!

You can participate in this module if you

- have knowledge of German at language level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR),

- require language level C1 for professional recognition or access to a profession,

- aim at an adequate level of linguistic competence for the pursuit of highly qualified, non-regulated professions,

- are registered as a job seeker and/or receive unemployment benefits.

This course deals with important topics from the professional world: Communication in the workplace, job search, education and training, legal issues, products, advertising and consumer behavior, companies and economic regions in Germany, cooperation and networking, interculturalism and international cooperation as well as handling and learning with digital media.

The basic module C1 ends with the final examination telc Deutsch B2/C1 Beruf or telc Deutsch C1.

Course Characteristics:

- Duration: 400 lessons (approx. 4 months)

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 to 5 lessons daily (morning, afternoon or evening)

German B2 for Healthcare Professionals

Would you like to have your healthcare degree recognized in Germany or are you currently attending training in a healthcare profession and would like to work in Germany afterwards? Then join our language course for healthcare professionals!

You can attend this course if you

- have a certificate of general or professional German language skills at language level B1 (a certificate of attendance is not sufficient),

- have submitted or wish to submit an application to the relevant authorities for recognition or examination of your knowledge in health care, nursing care, geriatric care, pediatric care, maternity assistance or physiotherapy,

- have undergone training in your home country in health care, nursing care, geriatric care, pediatric care, maternity care or physiotherapy,

- already work as a nursing assistant or assistant in a healthcare profession,

- would like to work as a nurse and healthcare worker, delivery assistant or physiotherapist in Germany after your training as a nurse and healthcare worker.

This course deals with topics such as informal communication with patients and relatives (admission, counselling etc.) or professional communication with colleagues and doctors (handover, prescriptions, expert opinions, nursing planning and documentation etc.).

The course concludes with the telc Deutsch B1/B2 Pflege exam, a language test tailored to the nursing profession. As a participant in this language course, you will be intensively prepared for it.

- require language level B2 for professional recognition or access to a profession,

- are in vocational training or looking for a training place,

- are registered as a job seeker and/or receive unemployment benefits.

The course covers important topics from the professional world: Communication in the workplace, job search, education and training, rights and duties in the workplace, social security, salary and dismissal.

The basic module B2 ends with the final examination telc Deutsch B1/B2 Beruf or telc Deutsch B2.

- Duration: 400 or 500 lessons (approx. 5 months)

German A1/B1 Integration/Alpha

You don't speak German yet and would like to learn general language skills at the B1 level? Then register for an integration course!

You can take part in a state-funded German course if you are a foreigner with a residence permit, a German citizen with a migration background, an EU citizen and/or a late resettler.

This language course covers important topics from everyday life: Shopping, living, school, work and occupation, care and parenting, leisure and social contacts, media and media use. You will learn how to write letters and e-mails, how to fill in forms and make phone calls in German.

You will complete the language course with the German Test for Immigrants (Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer – DTZ), which certifies your B1 language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Course Characteristics - Integration:

- Duration: 600 lessons (approx. 6 months)

- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 to 5 lessons daily (morning, afternoon or evening)

- Style: On-site training or online language course (video conference)

- Participants: 15-25 persons

- Target level: B1 (German Test for Immigrants A2/B1)
